Moss of Bath to participate in nationwide Radio Amnesty

The 'Radio Amnesty', which will run from Saturday 22nd May until Saturday 26th June, is a joint initiative developed by the BBC and commercial radio stations and draws inspiration from the Government's popular car scrappage scheme.

Manufacturers Pure and Roberts are among those who have agreed to take part, with discounts of up to 10% being offered in return for your old analogue radio.

Analogue radios collected during the 'amnesty' will be reconditioned and sent to UNICEF and to the Children's Radio Foundation in South Africa, giving young people access to radio programmes. Those beyond repair will be recycled under the Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Directive.

The campaign will aim to boost the scale of digital radio usage towards achieving a government target of 50% of all radio listening by 2013. If this achieved, the digital radio switchover is set to go ahead in 2015 with the UK's analogue radio signal being turned off.

See in store now for a great selection of digital radios and wake up to the breakfast show without any snap, crackle or pop!
