Home Cinema/Smart Home Bath

Moss of Bath were contacted by clients Mr & Mrs C to design and install the latest in smart home technology throughout their house near Bath whilst it was being fully refurbished.

The requirement was for a fully spec’d home-cinema room, a television in the Drawing Room, a discreet audio system on the ground floor and in the master bedroom suite, wireless distribution throughout the property including a garden studio, UHF / satellite infrastructure and outdoor speakers covering the garage and  garden terrace.

Tim Moss met with the clients on-site to discuss their installation room-by-room and a quotation was prepared detailing equipment, first and final fix schedules and costings.

Moss of Bath installer Andy Berrelly was handed responsibility for the installation, over-seeing the project from start to finish, thus ensuring continuity throughout the whole process.

With assistance from colleague Mark Oatley, the team undertook and completed the first fix which entailed lifting floorboards, chasing walls, routing speaker cables, data and coaxial cables and cutting out ceiling speakers.

Once the refurbishment had been completed, Moss of Bath returned to site to undertake the final fix, install the equipment and commission the system.

Andy provided a thorough on-site demonstration and user instruction with the clients and continues to provide support when necessary.

Equipment included:

Sony 85-inch 8K SMART television, recessed within a purpose built stud wall

Sonance Reference Series home-cinema speakers, including Dolby Atmos

Sonance Mariner outdoor speakers

Arcam home-cinema amplifier

Sonos Ports, connecting to eleven audio zones

Ubiquiti wireless distribution
