It was an extremely busy day for all the team at Moss of Bath, telephones were ringing continuously with customers who needed help to re-tune their televisions in order to be able to pick up the new digital transmission.
Additional staff and vans were deployed by Moss of Bath to cope with the extra workload. Owner Tim Moss said,"Although we have been exceptionally busy today we had plans in place in order to cope with the demand for call outs and so far things have gone very smoothly. Today's re-tune has been a great practice run for Wednesday 7th April when all the remaining analogue channels will be switched off. I commend my excellent team for their superb efforts this week."
The second and final stage of the Digital Switchover for the West TV region takes place on Wednesday 7th April 2010. This is when the remaining analogue channels will be switched off permanently. On this date further Freeview channels from ITV, Channel 4 and Five will also become available from relay transmitters for the first time.
Moss of Bath anticipate that Wednesday 7th April will be an even busier day, they already have 100's of re-tuning calls booked in, and would encourage anyone who still does not have the necessary equipment to ensure they are prepared over the next couple of weeks.
Moss of Bath will be closed on Good Friday and Easter Monday (2nd/5th April)
