Mayor of Bath Long Service Award for Tim Moss
On the 17th May 2019 Tim Moss, Managing Director of Moss of Bath, was awarded ‘The Mayor’s Long Service Award’ in recognition of his 40 years’ continuous service to independent retail in the city of Bath.
At a special ceremony hosted by the (previous) Mayor of Bath, Patrick Anketell-Jones, Tim received a badge and certificate and spent an hour in the Mayor’s Parlour at the Guildhall where 800 years of history is displayed alongside Royal Charters granted to the city of Bath dating back to 1189.
Moss of Bath was founded in 1962 by Frank Moss and Tim has worked in the business since the age of 17. In 1995 he took over the running of the company and with his proactive and positive approach to business Moss of Bath has grown steadily since those early days.
Tim said: “I was honoured to receive this award from the Mayor of Bath in recognition for my service, not only to Moss of Bath, but also to independent retailing in the city. Something that I remain very passionate about after all these years!”
