With sales of vinyl records now regularly breaking the million mark there has been a resurgence of interest in turntable systems with their rich sound quality and subtle nuances.
The Technics SL1200 direct-drive turntable has delighted audiophiles and DJ’s alike since its introduction, with its superior sound and build quality, performance and reliability. Relaunched in 2016 to coincide with its 50th anniversary, Technics is releasing two new “Grand Class” models aimed at audiophiles: the aluminum-cased SL1200G and the magnesium limited anniversary edition SL1200GAE, of which only 1,200 will be produced.
The Technics SL1200 turntables have already received a lot of positive press following their launch at CES 2016 in early January and demand for the limited edition SL1200GAE is expected to be high.
